Sunday Prayer - 13 July 2025

As we prepare to pray, I invite you to breathe deeply and slowly for a few moments…

Father, you are God and we are not.

Sometimes we admit that we are broken.
But often we forget, and we think we can fix ourselves and this world.
Today we remember that we are broken.
Thank you that our brokenness is not a barrier to your love.

Sometimes we remember that we are loved by you.
But often we forget and stumble around in confusion and doubt.
Today we dare to believe that we are loved beyond all measure.

We thank you Jesus for your grace that favours us much more than we deserve. Your unmerited favour.
We also thank you for your grace which enables us to do the things we can’t do ourselves.  Your power to bring change in our lives.

Your grace is all around us.
It’s the air we breath.
But so often we forget.
Today we choose to remember your grace, that is, your favour and your power.

We declare that the best way for anyone in this world to live is in the grace of Jesus.
We declare that your grace is the answer this world so desperately needs.
May we learn how to make space for your grace to break out into the visible world.

Help us as we explore spiritual practices as tools to allow more of your grace to flow in our lifestyles and relationships.

May the world know that we are your disciples by our love.
May we be salt and light to a dark world that needs healing and direction.

Father, this world is broken.
But you still have a plan to restore all things through Jesus.
Please use us to be bearers of your grace and kindness.

Thank you for your amazing grace.

Amen.
